Traditional owners launch legal challenge against NT’s largest groundwater extraction licence

Relocating TIVAN to Mt Peake, particularly as water & waste water were significant considerations in making this decision to shift from Darwin, means re-assessing & re-applying for water extraction allowance. The Darwin Refinery water use in the EIS was around the 3.85Gl mark under the Zero Liquid Discharge model, however I'd be interested to know what the water balance will be with likely higher temperatures & higher evaporation at Mt Peake.
This, if anything, I think is a very big challenge to address, highly sensitive, as the timing for revisiting water extraction requirements is complicated.
