    It's true that the heat has gone out of West Africa re iron ore, you just have to look at the EQX share price. It is a blessing that we've had so much cash on the balance sheet.

    I think the market is going to be very cautious in ascribing value to companies in the area now, the Scoping Study that will outline expected CAPEX and OPEX figures is the next box the market wants to see ticked. There will also be questions of CAPEX funding that need to be answered. I don't think CAPEX will be a problem when you consider who EQX has on the share register, M&G and Blackrock are seriously powerful entities. I don't think finding debt to fund part of the CAPEX is going to be too much of a stretch, especially now the company is looking at a smaller capacity to start with, meaning a lower CAPEX.

    Seeing how far further advanced WDR is with their project and the corresponding market capitalisation has indicated to me that EQX probably needs to tick a few more of those boxes before we see serious SP appreciation.
