The minimum PFS cost will be at least $1000aud.
Heres the ballpark math.It takes 20GJ heat to make 1 ton steel @1600C.Lets say it takes 35-40GJ to heat to 2850C.1kwh = 3,600,000 joules.It takes about 10,000kwh to refine one ton SGA ore to 2850C.1kwh cost of production in Kazakhstan is apparently about 10c aud.
So 1000aud to refine one ton - even if they preliminary flotation purification etc before furnace is to 100%.
