An interesting development overnight, with Germany denying they will use their gold to bailout out Greece preferring instead to use paper (fiat) money (debt) for that purpose.
This is a classic example of Gresham's Law coming into play where bad money (fiat) drives out good (gold).
In this case the Germans are hoarding their gold and using paper money to meet their bills (Greece). That same phenomina recently took place in Zimbabwe.
