God we're selling iron ore wholesale to the Chinese. We comply with strict environmental codes. Even then idiots like Rio Tinto blast away like the Taliban on heritage sites and wonder what the fuss was about. Well senior executives lost their jobs over it and that has damaged mining in the eyes of negotiators. Not smart thinking is it?

Gold mining and extraction especially involving cyanide is very toxic. Plus if you think Ok Tedi is a great example of mining practice think again. BHP has done shocking practices it's rampant. We've had Wittenoom and CSR, causing asbestos related deaths and that's all for the glory of the quick buck.

WWI must be better than this, it has to be.

The issue is the cause of the delays. These are Covid19 and mistrust of mining companies in South Africa. You must be able to put yourself in the shoes of the person on the other side of the negotiating table. It's an essential point to grasp.
