What an operational hub does is put boots, machinery and infrastructure on ground - that
- makes the incremental/marginal cost of operating new mines cheap
- spreads costs over a wider base to improve project economics
Chris and Bill are tightening their grip on the goldfields region - owning the rock, infrastructure, transportation, mining services, construction!
