As to the other crap that went on in the other thread, some people really really need to understand that the reason why hard rock is currently preferred to brines is because hard rock essentially serves the hydroxide market, and in particular NCM and NCA batteries which are stated to be the predominant batteries going forward in EVs. The C in those batteries stands for cobalt - without cobalt those batteries don't exist, meaning the likely battery then becomes one based on lithium carbonate that then puts brines as the preferred source, or at least very very very competitive to hydroxide (meaning less hard rock mines needed). People who argue sovereign risk like parrots need to give themselves an upper cut if they keep harping on about DRC, cobalt and sovereign risk.
