BTW this is a mini version of the UK trial, only it happens to be in the the US and testing what the impact of the intervention of wheezo in the US health system will be on patients with asthma and COPD compared to today's standard of care. The fact the hospital has initiated the study shows the desperate need and expectation of positive outcomes both from a health and financial perspective. The smaller pilot study is just a matter of following protocol and managing bureaucracy before the flood gates open. Other hospitals will now follow and conduct similar studies and soon the evidence for wheezo will be conclusive - real world, real patients, real dollars !
