Fantastic planning and execution here by Mineral Resources! There are several facets of this announcement and one needs to consider all of those to understand what's about to transpire in Goldfield!
Consider this:-
a) First and foremost: The concentrator and associated infrastructure is literally worth 100s of millions in todays dollar. We got it for $15m
b) Second: We own the mineral rights/exploration potential at Lake Johnson. Owning a piece of rock in a prospective region like that is worth $15m all by itself!
c) The idea of a regional processing hub in that area is Wicked! - There are several small deposits there (10-30 million tonne at 1%-1.2%) - Those projects are not economic at spodumene US$1200. Chris Ellison can not only make those projects economic but also generate value in form of equity interest (~20% of project) and processing/tolling charges (on 100% basis)
d) Don't forget Min Res has recently announced Construction as a separate 5th vertical. He will be well positioned to score further construction work from these juniors (In addition to equity interest and processing fee)
e) Chris's mate Bill Beament can help out with underground mining should any of these juniors need help (which they will do) and Chris can get 15% cut of that via his holding in DVP
f) Not the least: The fines from Bald Hill and Mt Marion will make their way into proposed DMS circuit and improve the economics of those assets as well. Chris being Chris he will charge processing fee from likes of Ganfeng(50% Mt Marion) for doing that!
