Have toyed around converting of downloaded gov GeoTiffs of soil depth, regolith to vector s then converting to contours in QGIS. Regards the same AZY image I'd wondered building a depth contour layer as you've mentioned to add into some AZY mapping that I'd been playing with. Contacted Antipa who were very helpful and directed me to some downloadable data. From memory it was called something like 'seabreeze', but my attempts to download it were terrible. Huge file. Went into the too hard basket. Have spent half hour or so trying to find the email(s?) but no luck - harddrive and laptop or PC from a few years back. Did manage to find some of my . txt notes if it'd help. But QGIS could be a little different now? Suggest you ask Antipa. Sure they'd still be very helpful.
