So we chased the coal seam for a further 506 meters beyond the intersection with Mira 2 giving us a total of 920 meters of horizontal well bore in coal. Not long to wait until Mira 2 comes back on line after the smaller work-over rig leaves having installed production tubing and a down-hole pump – with the plan being for that entire 920 meters of horizontal well-bore in the coal seam to flow gas and water into Mira 2.
Works completed under the anticipated time-frame even though the weather conditions were against us.
Our JV partners Santos and APLNG must be delighted that we took up the reigns and are driving Mahalo forward – as not only have we ‘cracked on’ but we have also done everything within budget.
As things stand – all parties especially us shareholders couldn’t have wished for a better outcome.
