A huge long life operation, low cost, and large upside to ounces and future production. Anyone bullish on gold would say that prices are going notably higher this decade as things crash and burn globally, and gold being a great hedge against such trouble.
The local of Misima Island (and PNG) can look forward to KSN running an operation whereby over the LOM 90% will be local, and 10% expats (not dissimilar to the former owner, Placer). Several hundred new jobs will be available to locals, it looks like in year 7 around 600 local jobs will be in operation. Many former Placer skilled workers who still reside on Misima Island, work in other mines around PNG such as the monster Lihir, and will likely jump at the opportunity to return back to their home island.
KSN will turn into a serious cash cow for anyone with a foresight of 3-5 years+
