I think one of the criticisms of this company has been that revenue is lumpy. This deal helps address that criticism. Imagine if playside could negotiate this kind of deal with all future work for hire agreements?! I bet the total value of a deal that includes upfront plus ongoing payment is way way more than upfront alone. Still, would be nice to give an indication of how much we are talking!! But I guess the reason for this is they don't want to compromise the value of future deals l - this is also another positive signal. It means that they are focused on generating long term value!
