It’s a fair point you make Gavin…
Ampol is not going to be the only fuel company docking in NZ going forward I feel, refined fuel distribution is the new business model and these scaled commercial companies are going to make enormous profits over the next two decades…with no subsidised local refining to compete with the margins work…
Z energy, plus the others, have freed themselves of a millstone not to mention gaining a substantial return of working capitol and Marsden point is now a very attractive infrastructure asset…it doesn’t really matter if any of these big fuel distributors purchase Z Energy or not, New Zealand will now be dealing with them as any customer deals with a supplier…simply put we need their ships and the fuel in them…
