Your analogy is somewhat correct , I believe.
The dogs are the teaser.

We need a simple blood test analysis device that vets use in their practice to analyse blood samples for white blood cells. High WBC or low Haemoglobin readings can be indicative of Lymphoma B, we seem to be recruiting the dogs when they are stage 4, possibly time is wasted on laboratory assays. Maybe if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck , flies like a duck , treat it like a duck .

If true, think of the benefits of recruitment of dogs in the early stage. Testing kits are approximately $100 and each test costs around a dollar.

Just thinking outside the square. We are touching many things just not able to grasp fully yet.

Give it some time. It's not an impossible task , maybe needs a few tweaks.
