Don't we need a little bit more functionality than just one working qubit that doesn't really do much yet? Don't we need some kind of prototype that will demonstrate functionality before we start getting excited about commercialisation? Or is the point that they need to work with a mass-producing foundry in order to create the first prototype, of which will then get mass produced using a similar process? I'm just genuinely not understanding how people are getting so excited and assuming that they've made much more progress than they're letting on. Massive gaps of knowledge to all of us here so be patient with my question; I'm definitely still very happy with progress overall.
