Plenty of opportunities if AXE continues to validate its quantum computing technology. But have to wait for the first deal, and then one deal a time.
It would be good for Australian Govt to reinvest some of the benefits from commodities revenues into stablishing a domestic micro chip industry. We had a grand plan to establish a local silicon valley development in Adelaide, South Australia about 30 years ago. But, a global recession in the 1990's, political arguments & lack of foresight destroyed the plan. South Australia is still a good site for a micro chip & technology centre as it is close to renewable energy, affordable housing & not overpopulated.
Unfortunately, other cities & countries shall promote their location. But, we should be happy if they just build it in New Zealand, Indonesia, EU, USA, China, India or anywhere else. Adelaide's vision for a Silicon Valley development was probably a bit too big for people to understand at the time. Hopefully we have come back full circle again & we have the political & industry will to make it happen.
Ideally, it would be a great investment to establish a large micro chip manufacturing & research sector in Australia. It would be politically sensitive to provide tach breaks & other financial incentives, but it happens with other industries that provide jobs.
