disappointed? What did you expect? just shows they had a game plan in case of the worst case - which occurred besides an outright ban. Then worked all weekend to deliver some positive news in a bad situation.
Long term I think luxury brands in the liquor space are a good bet. However risks exist, as proven with China, or even brand dilution. It’s good they are not planning on flooding the market and maintains brand integrity. Not really cheap enough for me to top up in light of China damage.
Who knows, this may all reverse abs China decides to join the west again in cooperative trade. Will see. But I wouldn’t bet on it.
I expected to be hit much much worse. I bought a few thousand shares the other month around 9.20s. Almost back there. Quite shocked. Clearly large institutional support with almost 10m shares traded.
