I'd say they would be putting more resources going forward toward VR as they have sunk a lot of time and effort into that field already. Unless there are a lot of employees within Valve who want to work on tournament functionality it's most likely not something Mogul will need to worry about for quite a while.

Monetising the platform, it was mentioned in the latest company presentation that on-platform advertising, content and licensing were part of the mix. I think there should be some additional information in the big Q4 announcement to help determine potential additional revenue streams. We should feel pretty confident given the calibre of the board that they have a solid approach in mind regarding this though.

There's every possibility that could happen. The advantage Mogul has is that firstly its targeting Mobile games first and foremost, not the PC space. Secondly, they are providing the Hubs which is the core of the monetization allowing brands to create their own space to host and advertise to consumers. When making decisions companies will look at the costs of producing their own or buying/renting out. Mogul allows the costs of these brands operating to be lower which is an incentive for the actual brands to participate. Another competitor could create a platform similar to Mogul for sure, just like any other product, however with the Mobile game industry it seems the first mover will be the winner unless a better alternative is offered in the future. As for the game devs creating tournaments i can see big companies such as activiton-blizz and riot games creating their own tournaments, however would it be cheaper to just run through Mogul and forgo the operating costs.
