I do not know if MND tends to land more fixed-price deals than NWH does, but NWH's CEO has made it abundantly clear that most of their contracts have rise and fall clauses, and labour costs would be part of that.
Falling back on the rise-and-fall clauses is a nusance, because it requires the customer to agree to the sum claimed, or orded to do so by an arbiter specified in the contract, or a court if things get messy. However, the matters rarely end up in litigation.
