Fortunately I only have a small (and getting progressively smaller!) holding here , so I haven't done actual calculations on the affect of the shorts. It seems, however, that there hasn't been enough shorts to make a lot of difference. An absolute return fund in name only? I'd suggest the big problem seems more to do with the performance of the longs.
