... and what ever happened to the "China project". announced by PPY in Feb 2021
5 stage milestone process, with the first "milestone" target end date of March 2021, and stage 5 resulting in the execution of a contract and payment of a deposit to PPY for the purchase of equipment.. "no late than July 2021" ,
Another project announced with big fanfare, never to see the light of day.
Milestone 1 = not completed.
Milestone 5 and deposit payment = not completed.

.. and who can remember the potential sale of veneer to Jaguar cars. ?? Nothing resulted, ..of course.

... and the JV announced in Nov 2014 (facilitated via MAP) for the manufacture of fruit display trays, to be produced in Walkamin. The license was issued for a 5 year period. Nothing ever heard again.

... and the "yellow Pallet" project. Nothing every reported again.

They had a fully operational plant in FN Qld manufacturing veneers and panel boards, over 10 years ago. Refer PPY announcements in the archives.
- (Newsletter 2010) .. "From Walkamin, Papyrus will be producing and selling into the Australian fit-out and construction market fibre board and veneer"
- "Panel test results" announcement dated May 2011
- Announcement dated Nov 2009 .. " The factory is in continuous production of fibre and veneer"

Folks, these are not my stories, these are ACTUAL ANNOUNCEMENTS, and ACTUAL STATEMENTS that PPY have made over the years
In more than 10 years, it seems, all they have managed to do is transfer equipment to Egypt.. otherwise what has really been achieved. ?

Furthermore, the only product being made and sold is in Egypt, so what's the need for a marketing plan in Australia. ?
Marketing the product, .. or marketing the share price ?

As for Govt grants, ... PPY have received PLENTY of those over the years.
All that time and money and the end result is banana trees pulped for liquid and chips for making (low cost) egg cartons in "off the shelf" moulding equipment.
I'd expect that would be easy to copy elsewhere, so it make you wonder about the TRUE value of any technology license. ?

Can only imagine that these announcements are solely designed to pump up the share price, for hopeful new share issues.

If you can make a quick buck from the fluctuating share price , then go for it, but otherwise ....
