Google came up with this result from a glossary of industry jargon...
"The overall interval in which pay sections occur is the gross pay; the smaller portions of the gross pay that meet local criteria for pay (such as minimum porosity, permeability and hydrocarbon saturation) are net pay."
So I suppose that means there's probably a bits and pieces all the way through the 17m interval rather than in one big block. Or, they know there's something through there but haven't finished testing so unable to quantify net pay?
Either way considering most exploration wells have 0 metres of pay this is a great result and very promising for SXY's oil business considering this tenement is "under explored".
