I think management's excitement is genuine and the tech is good. They just need time to get there and given they've been somewhat promising more than delivering previously the market is hungry for results.
However the change in communication style over the past months is definitely helping to adjust expectations and on the strategic level I think they've got the right team in place. Bit more time and the results will flow!
