With the best-managed LIC in the country (according to Bell Potter) currently selling for the price of its after-tax NAV, MFF certainly rates as one of the best defensive stocks on the ASX. Like @charlesn, I have considerable confidence in Chris Mackay's ability to protect my investment better than I can myself. And the fact that he continues to have such a substantial personal holding in the company is convincing evidence that his interest and focus will be maintained.
