There's an old blog post on Forager's blog in which Steve discusses ethical investing and why his funds don't have an ethical mandate. Worth a read of that. Part of the issue with ethical investing is everyone has different morals & ethics, so how do you effectively apply screeners to make everyone happy? Personally I've got no issue with an investment in Playboy but have an issue with dodgy finance and funeral insurance operators, both of which FOR has been heavily exposed to.
