    if you want international (90%) exposure, solid franked yield, diversification, lower risk then PGF is fine.

    does it outperform international index funds? you would need to look at the cumulative return (add back divs + franking) then compare to an index - the answer would be probably not.

    if you don't need the income l would go straight to a low fee index fund, if you need income without the sell down PGF, otherwise l would use index funds.

    l invest in both, l need PGF for solid income, l invest in index funds for growth. l am currently looking at index funds in developing economies otherwise reducing exposure to equities.

    my personal view only, not a recommendation
