Why do LSF Compare themselves to the ASX200AI, is this just the same as the ASX200 : XJO or am I confused.
As well I do wonder about managed funds capacity to continue to outperform the market. Even so, the underlying balance sheets performance does not always directly correlate to stock price performance. When I first learnt about investing I was led to believe discounts were an investment opportunity, and while in some cases they are, more often than not they are a value trap. Even LICs like CDM with some of the biggest yields are trading at near 30% discounts for some time. Investors may become trapped when they could simply reallocate to lost cost index funds and likely do better anyway
