Their shorts are mostly as plunge protection. When the market shits itself the high beta stocks take a major haircut and they pay off for LSF. Key thing is their longs have kept being taken over and rerated so that keeps them afloat. They get the odd short right, usually the ones they aren't vocal about in the media.
