They may have had little choice but to do the raise in order to complete the MGP acquisition. They probably would have needed to demonstrate sufficiency of capital dedicated to MGP in order for relevant government authorities to approve the transfer of the petroleum leases. Yes, they may have achieved a better result for shareholders by doing it earlier when the share price was higher but hindsight is 20/20. All IMO.
