If there are bidders for NXM in the wings, the challenge is going to be how to extract maximum value.
Even the more typical 40% takeover premium on the current share price won't get us back to the levels of a few months ago.
To get back into the 50 cent range we are going to need an unexpectedly good resource estimate, some further lengthy intersections of high grade, and probably a rising gold price.
Indications from the company that we can hold out for a few months without a capital raise would be welcome as well.
And who are the other potential bidders, apart from NST?
