I did note the comparison they included of Greenbushes which BP included to help understanding AZS’s drilling results.
General points on the Greenbushes deposits and open pits:
- Most material displayed is between ~25m-to-100m thick, with some narrower.
- The pit had a life-of-mine (LOM) strip ratio of 4.4:1, and a final pit depth of 455m.
- The ‘Central Lode Pegmatite’ (the main ore sources) has a 3,500m strike length.
- Mineralisation occurs is stacked lodes that sometimes coalesce into wider units.
- Multiple parallel pegmatites are mined in single pits reducing the strip ratio.
Except for higher grade Greenbushes deposit could potentially have some similarities with Andover - 25m to 100m thickness (tick so far), pegmatite 3km to 3.5km long (potential tick if mineralisation continues northeast as Tony suggests), stacked lodes (tick) which may coalesce into wider units (yet to be determined by AZS BP suggest some pegmatites combine at depth)
