The flaw in the method is that while they have been given a list of negative things to say they don't understand the simplest technicalities and so get the nuances wrong. The mention of "floatation" being relevant to DSO ore is an obvious example. This was a bit of free-lancing that sounded technical but gave the game away. Similarly not trusting "visuals" is pretty silly when experienced geologists, particularly copper geologists, usually know how to interpret a core of copper ore. Assays need to follow for precision, but for an experienced geologist, the various ore types are readily identifiable and often an approximate, if rough stab at the grade. How is copper found? Pretty simple: geologists first poke around looking for a greenish stain on surface outcrops.

The mules also swear a lot which allows them to think what they are doing is cool and not dirty.
