No. That ramp is the only access into the pit. To take it out means a complete cutback from the top down. It's not an insignificant bit of work and the gain would be incremental. The old tailings dam above it provides a limit as to how far they can go (zone of instability and pit walls). Same with the slip, you can't undercut it, and multi batter failures like this aren't trivial either, they require careful remediation (time + $$) otherwise you sterilise ore or kill someone. It won't be easy or cheap to chase significant ounces from the pit floor.
As for the water, yep, they'll dewater any workings as needed. But, the issue won't be getting it out, it will be where to store it. You can't discharge it on surface. It will have to be contained - where??? They'll need a lot of capacity, which means one of the current pits, which will limit cutback for pitable ounces. This was a big issue for the previous operation, and that issue isn't going to magically disappear just because of new management.
