Or, maybe they are being prudent. The alternative would be to have a SP appreciation event, then a trading halt for the CR the next day, which could cause a SP depreciation event on the next open. Then you would have people say this was a sneaky thing for management to do, trying to get the SP up and then slamming us with a CR. Can't please everyone.
