Traditionally, the "production and sales season" of the Chinese domestic lithium battery industry begins in September.

For the most part, asx Li stocks have performed pretty well during Sept - end of CY over the last few years.

Hopefully the trend continues

Speaking of trends, the reference price for lithium carbonate in the domestic Chinese market has remained the same price for the last 4 consecutive trading days: 83,545 yuan/t. Given that the price has pretty much been falling every day since the 26th of July, hopefully a good sign. Probably still too early to call the bottom though..

I've also been thinking: As reported by metalbulletin, the drop in domestic lithium carbonate prices has in part been a result of the fight for domestic market share, with companies from Qinghai and Tibet offering product from their salt lakes at lower and lower prices in an effort to drive out companies with higher costs... But come November I believe those lakes may start to freeze over...and stay frozen for a good 3-4 months...good news if you ask me
