This will be the third cycle that I've held IMD from ~30 cps. Previously rode the mining upswing 2006-2008, then the post-GFC recovery March 09 - 2012. (Yes, I took the plunge at the low, but no I wasn't smart enough to sell on the highs, although MD Bernie Ridgeway did ok @ $2.90 in March / April 2012!).

This current period feels like some momentum is building again for IMD's products and services. Their rental instrument rental 'barometer' and the share price behaviour is feeling a little like 2010. A year has been spent anticipating improved industry fundamentals and now perhaps it is happening.

However, almost twice as many shares are on issue now after they lost the plot and almost the company with attempted diversification into Oil and Gas. Amusing how the mantra then was '"we need to diversify away from mining", now it is "we've consolidated to mining". In my view the MD and Board were not making wise decisions through that period, but there has been renewal of a number of positions since then.

Anyway, that's the past. Future is looking ok at the moment.
