while meal packaging has few restrictions (this can including accomodation and travel) the base amount than can be packaged has not changed for decades, this means that each year packaging becomes slightly less attractive. (.... originally before fbt it was possible to package your entire wage and then be deemed a low income earner entitling you to a healthcare card as some Drs and Managers on good wages can tell you - the Govt stopped that rubbish by introducing limits and requiring a grossed up amount on the payment summary - the difficulty is that the Government have never indexed that amount suggesting they want to slowly over many years eventually kill off the industry. it's like setting a wage and never over the decades changing the wage.)
