Now that ML has departed I hope we shelve the spinoff option...

Now that ML has departed I hope we shelve the spinoff option which he was mad keen on.
I still don't see the benefit in a spin off outweighing the costs (start up, extra management, shares/Options splashed around).
While I'm at it, what are the benefits exactly? Keeping dilution at the project level for any partnerships could be done with either lith or gold, surely. An extra few cents in SP for the split company? Meh.
