What a bizarre position to be in where we lose our major asset yet actually come out in some what a decent position holding no projects.
im fairly devastated Morila didn’t work out, long been my dream that we we able to get a JV with barrick on Morila, and thought we hit the jackpot getting the whole plant… management, timing re gold price, usd price, sanctions and clearly lack of funding (how!) all have force the hand…
Has this company now turned to one of the best looking explorers? Strong cash banking with LLL shares in their back pocket (2 year escrow has turned out to be a a fantastic ruling)
Will we pivot from gold to some renewable? Hopefully. Hopefully move out of africa… tier 1 assets just remain far to undervalued (eg LLL).
have to give a shout of to @WoodySpoon . I’ve disagreed with a lot you have said in relation to Morila. However You were on to this outcome at the sniff of trouble. I know you haven’t really been a fan of Morila and been adamant there has been large wealth destruction by management chasing Morila through dilution. In hindsight you were spot on even if just how radical the surge in lithium price has even caught you off guard. So to you I tip my cap…(let’s make it my free firefinch hat which I then throw into my fireplace), well played.
id like to hope FFX has been speaking with other gold players in Mali to assist with a smooth transfer of Morila to their books. us ending ownership then them taking over is the smoothest transition.
