While the process was complex and took some time – your initial communication and initiative was a pivotal moment in kick starting the process to the obtain the grant.

Also asked if it was in the bag or if Labor could can it ....

In terms of the fund – this is a ministerial commitment for the budget year 2019-2020 and signed off by Minister Wyatt while in office and prior to the election being announced. So, it’s mandated - although I still need to finalise the contract with the DoH and aim to have this completed prior to July 1st 2019.

It’s also relatively a small amount of money and apolitical. So a Labour government should not make this an issue.

This is too good GC, an amazing thing you did! I remember reading your contact with Ken last year!

In that response from last year Ken said the libs commited 5.3mill over 3 years in the 18/19 budget for improving care. Now we get 5 mill. wow.
