All these questions you are posing are like 1 year late and many of answers have been addressed and can be found in past PCK developments. Here's some additional notes to consider:
PCK has partnered with Dementia Training Australia around development of training materials some time ago. DTA is a consortium bringing together leading dementia educators and trainers from 5 universities and Dementia Australia.
What is the sales pitch for the trial? PCK have been doing trails over the past year with aged care centers and the results are shown. How they pitch it is not so much relevant as the outcome of the trials was clear given the uptake numbers. They have been accumulating increasing update, and now this huge move by the government.
Software integration with Leecare and Healthmetrics who provide the management software to most aged care centers. These two software integration agreements allow PainChek® to fully automate pain assessment testing for more than 100,000 approved places/beds (which is around 50% of the Australian Aged Care market) and gain access to international markets where our integration partners have overseas presence. This includes NZ, Singapore, UK and other European markets.
$5 per bed is cheap, and yes it is not much however apps are scalable, but consider how cheapskate many aged care facilities are. The uptake has been slow (although it was only been like 1 year) and getting into the market at a low price makes sense. Just have a read of the cases around the Royal Commission. It takes a long time to kick the aged care centers into gear. The uptake for close to 100% market penetration in aged care centers is feasible. If the majority of aged care centers use painchek, other centers will likely have to follow suit to get up to a current standard. In addition, we have proposals to the royal commission which recommend the exact thing that the app can provide for as part of the new standards into aged care.
