Getting in bed with the big boys and getting played in a turf where political risk is high… no matter how they sugarcoat it, this has been a bad outcome for SHs and a lesson for observers like me (I have a poor experience in another African miner but the poor show has been mgmt’s doing). Reinforces why investing in politically safe, predictable jurisdictions is better than trying to make big bucks where the risks are way out of mgmt’s control.
