GLN is in dire financial straits with a huge project, and Leo now has more than enough to help them finish stage 1 of their brine plant.
Just one example. I'm sure there are dozens of others.
Not a bad time to be cashed up with a great lithium CEO at the helm.
Then again, lots of people will want their cash back. In these situations, the incentives of management are not aligned with shareholders, though.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal signed as soon at that soon tranche hits the bank account.

Wasn't the JV keen to develop downstream somewhere in the West? Perhaps that's where this will go. Ganfeng can still use Leo to get a foothold in the US friendshoring regime.
