In general, I would say that there is very good promise of yields from old tailings dams. Especially if gold was $200 / tonne when mining stopped. Not only would the tailings probably be high in gold as perhaps there was only $80.00 / tonne available for processing, but the mining cut-off grade must have been comparatively high.

Combine that with advances in beneficiation efficiency over the years.

I think there is good potential for this to commence being a success and fund the likes of Mt Morgan exploration.
