There is certainly a stigma around locally produced products over there, I forget the name now but didn't an NZ company have a relationship with these guys which turned out horribly?
On the surface it seems like a solid announcement, just not too sure this is strengthening the companies existing message, appears to be a move to appease to the shareholder or attract new investors.
Time will tell I guess
