From a business sense - this is creative and interesting. Hard to say its true impact without seeing actual numbers - not charging a royalty fee but instead taking a 30 % equity - is that actually better ? Lot of question marks given this announcement is very high level.
Regardless, the fact they have signed a MOU is a positive - this is now binding.
Something binding is better than nothing at all.
