I do agree with you (and with Elon musk) Hydrogen for cars doesn't make sense, every city will be happy to use the free space for housings and shops once the petrol stations will be gone, not to be replaced by hydro stations.

although it might be good for heavier things like buses, heavy machinery (aka mining industry (someone said twiggy ?!) And maybe planes with hydrogen filling in the airport, get to fill a plane faster than if you had to charge a battery.

I'm also a strong believer in hydrogen in larger industries, powering plants etc...
