Aren't you just describing the buyback though? There is currently an actor in the market that is attempting to buyback shares across a long timeframe in the open market. They also have limits as to the prices they can buyback each day and all this is disclosed daily. What we are seeing might be a flow-on effect of the buyback.
But people are selling. Something something impatient -> patient.
