The environmental element is a good point you raise. I think for a regenerating mine project like this CRB goes into it knowing the full environmental impact, or should do. And with more stories recently in the news about mines gone bad and who fits the bill (eg; Linc was in the news today) I think the government will be keen to ensure any new miners have more than enough the money to handle environmental clean-up..... is that part of the 'environmental approval' to mine? And does that usually follow a DFS?

Either way they'll need to set aside an adequate financial reserve to manage that risk.
